How can I maximize value in the short term?
The New Jersey chapter is growing and welcoming professional advisors who help business owners plan for a successful exit. As we continue to follow a case study approach addressing all of the various considerations associated with a successful exit, we welcome your attendance at our next meeting. Our ‘client’ is a partnership that wants to position itself for an exit in two to three years. As with most companies, there are some issues that need to be resolved to make the transition, and ultimate exit, a success.
What actions can the owners of Murphy’s Metal Manufacturing take to increase operational efficiencies that will maximize the Company’s value in the short-term? Ken Drossman of Lakeview Business Consulting will lead a discussion to identify what operational efficiencies are, and which might be available to the management of Murphy’s and realistically define what “short-term” means. The presentation will highlight the principal opportunities that exist for most companies to implement near-term operational efficiencies. Discussion points will include:
- How can operational efficiencies be value drivers?
- Are operational efficiencies equivalent to actions that affect financial performance?
- Does an increase in top line or bottom line growth matter more?
- What opportunities might exist in systems, processes and controls?
- What possibilities for operational efficiencies exist on the balance sheet?
This interactive session will promote participation by attendees in a collaborative format.
